Minor Savings Accounts

Our minor savings accounts are designed to ensure the financial security of your children. They offer higher than average interest rates for maximum returns, and are structured to allow children to start their adult lives on a secure financial footing. Parents or guardians can open an account for a child from the moment of birth, up to any age below 18 years.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Birth certificate of the child
  • National Identity Card of the parent or guardian
  • Account can be opened with just Rs.1000

Benefits

  • The Child aged up to 9 years old will be eligible for many gifts for their savings. Gift Scheme
  • Interest rate of 4.25% per annum.
  • Special Promotion during Sinhala & Tamil New Year and Christmas seasons

"Punchi Star" Childrens savings accounts

Eligibility Requirements

  • Birth certificate of the child
  • National Identity Card of the parent or guardian
  • Account can be opened with just Rs. 500

Benefits

  • Interest rate of 5.25% per annum.
  • Special Promotion during Sinhala & Tamil New Year and Christmas seasons.
  • Free children's health insurance policy
