Merchant Bank Leads Successful “Haritha Sathkaraya” Zero-Waste Cleaning Project at Crow Island Beach

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC proudly carried out a successful environmental cleaning project under the zero-waste initiative titled “Haritha Sathkaraya” on 31st August 2025 at the Crow Island Beach area in Mattakkuliya.

This meaningful initiative was organized with the aim of promoting environmental responsibility, reducing pollution, and supporting the protection of Sri Lanka’s coastal ecosystems. The project focused on efficient collection, sorting, and proper disposal of waste, aligning with the bank’s commitment to sustainable practices and a greener future.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to SSP/Director Environment Mr. Manoj Perera, CI Gamini Nissanka, CI Hettiarachchi, CI Abesinghe, and their dedicated team for their exceptional contribution and active participation. Their support was instrumental in ensuring the operational success and environmental impact of the project.

We also express our sincere gratitude to the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) and the Mattakkuliya Municipal Council staff for their invaluable cooperation, resources, and guidance throughout the initiative. Their collective involvement highlights the importance of partnerships in driving meaningful environmental change.

MBSL Successfully Completes CSR Project at Thiththawelgolla School, Dambulla

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL) proudly completed a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project at Thiththawelgolla School, Dambulla, in October 2025. This initiative reflects MBSL’s continuous commitment to uplifting education and supporting community development across Sri Lanka.

The project focused on enhancing the learning environment for the students and strengthening the school’s facilities, ensuring a positive impact on both education and student well-being. Through the collective effort of our dedicated team and the support of the community, the project was successfully executed with lasting value.
