The 39th ward (Gynaecology unit) of the National Hospital Colombo provides patient care in Gynaecology, which comprises of performing elective and emergency surgery and managing other female disorders in reproduction including cancers. This ward is also dedicated for teaching and training medical students and postgraduate doctors.
In order to provide a better administrative service, to improve the quality of support provided to the patients and to increase the standard of teaching, a refurbishment of the Gynaecology unit is considered essential.
In line with this good cause, MBSL assisted the refurbishment of the teaching room of the Gynaecology unit.
